I had used Precision before and when my recent trouble occurred there was no hesitancy about whom I'd call. Residential Technician Jimmy Johnson (no, not THAT Jimmy Johnson, although a superstar in his own right) arrived within the first hour of the four hour window. Great, there's little worse than having your car trapped in the garage two weeks before Christmas and you have a lot driving to do. We called Precision because their sticker was on the back of the garage door of the home we'd recently purchased. We'd originally called because we were in need of another remote, as well as help programming the outside keypad. The folks in the office let us know that the last time the garage door or anything related to it were serviced was upwards of 5 years ago. Jimmy Johnson, the Technician who was assigned to our house, filled us in on the intricacies of our door and when we asked him how to manually open the door in case of a power outage, he showed us how the springs and rollers were basically not operating as they should be, etc. The original motor, which was over 15 years old, and while it still worked fine, was being taxed and could've led to our being unable to open, and keep open, the door manually, which is an important feature. So while we weren't necessarily intending to get "new guts" for our garage door today, we're glad that we did and now have the assurance that we have a new, quiet, much more modern system that was installed by a true professional. Jimmy filled us in on the entire system, assisted us in setting up the app on our phones, linked the remotes in our cars and just did a great job overall. We're very glad that he was "our guy" - we can't recommend him highly enough!

Precision Doors was able to fit me into the tech’s schedule late on the same day, which I was not expecting. Then, they sent one of their best techs that actually installed 5 doors for me, 13 years prior to today. Jimmy Johnson is the fastest, most accurate, safest, and courteous technician you could ask for. He immediately found the problem with my door being the torsion spring and he had it, 10 side rollers, both side cables and pullies replaced, and the entire door system lubricated in a little over 45 minutes. Now it lifts and lowers smoothly and quietly again. Thanks Precision Doors !

Jimmy Johnson, Residential Tech, called to alert us of his arrival 20 minutes prior to arrival and arrived on time, presented his business card and introduced himself in a friendly and professional manner. He approached the troubleshooting quickly and presented his findings in a manner understandable to us and offered a variety of solutions for our consideration. Once given the word on what we opted for, Jimmy proceeded to execute the required actions quickly and efficiently. Working in a career field that dealt with troubleshooting, repair, and replacement, I could appreciate the professional and knowledgeable manner in which Jimmy accomplished the task.

About a month ago… my garage door failed. The door would still open and close, however - none of the "wireless" remotes would trigger it anymore. It was a 2002, Craftsman... probably installed when the house was built... and from the research - the logic board finally went on it. After getting a couple quotes from the various companies around town - I decided to check out Precision Overhead Garage Door... I've seen their trucks a multitude of times in the Tampa Bay area; and a family member recently had an opener replacement with them as well. Mr. Jimmy Johnson arrived promptly after his courtesy call that he was on his way. I knew already that I wanted an opener replacement, rather than trying to replace the logic board... didn't want to risk more stuff going bad down the road. Mr. Johnson arrived and inspected the current installation... actually confirming my thoughts that corners were definitely cut on the original installation. After discussing some different models and options for the various new openers... battery backup, Wi-Fi enabled... we settled on the Liftmaster 8355W. After working the numbers a bit, Mr. Johnson called his boss on my behalf to discuss pricing option - and whoa, Mr. Johnson fought for me - I received a quote that way WAY under what some other... discount... place had offered me. They just gained a loyal customer, along with many word-of-mouth recommendations. I told him his boss owes him a steak dinner, and I'll be following up to make sure it gets done! Mr. Johnson quickly got to the installation process - which I didn't even expect to have same-day service. It was hot... humid... Tampa weather of course... but no complaints from Mr. Johnson. He installed a new rail, the sensors, and wall-mount button to open/close the door - along with programming the remote that also came with the opener. Mr. Johnson was very informative on the pros and cons of the various technology when it came to garage doors; I'm a gadget nerd - so I try to soak up as much info as possible. The Liftmaster 8355W, once installed, is so much quieter than my old Craftsman... it's a Belt drive rather than chain - which he explained is top of the line. For the price; it doesn't get any better than that - and you'll get the same service as I did as long as you ask for Jimmy Johnson to help you out. He's been with Precision for over half of his career - so he knows what he's talking about. Don't go for companies with "coupon" words in their name... Go for companies that know their ISH... and who have employees who care about their work - like Mr. Jimmy Johnson - residential technician. Very Satisfied Customer! James

Was a customer on 2012so when my spring broke I called you. Your tech came out and wrote down 4 different prices on a plain sheet of paper ranging from $1200 to $2500. When I said all I wanted was the springs replaced he then gave me a price if $950!! Ridiculous and insulting! Did not purchase and had springs replaced with someone else for $250! This quote was a Blantant rip off! Your business practices really need to be revised! I will never call you back or recommend you! You lost a customer for ever!
